Bob Melvin Gets 2-Year Contract
Although the Oakland A’s are not having a winning season, manager Bob Melvin has been given a new 2-year deal. He is very fortunate to have the team very committed to him. Oakland GM Billy Beane made the announcement for the team that is missing the playoffs for the first time in three seasons. Beane knows he did not give Melvin a great team to work with this season. Oakland is rebuilding once again and is committed to Melvin for the long haul. Melvin led the Arizona Diamondbacks to the NL West pennant in 2007 and the A’s are ready for him to do the same for them.
